About the DRI

Mission:

    The Dinosaur Research Institute strives to support and enhance research on the western Canadian dinosaur fossil assemblage.

Goals:

  1. To strengthen the Dinosaur Research Institute as an enduring source of stable, reliable private funding for Canadian dinosaur research with an emphasis upon western Canada.
     
  2. To support and raise awareness of western Canada’s unique role in dinosaur palaeontology.
     
  3. To fund high-quality scientific dinosaur research on western Canadian dinosaurs; including exploration and recovery, preparation, presentation, and any related research.
     
  4. To fund dinosaur research related to western Canada that may be undertaken by any qualified scientist.
     
  5. To fund appropriate dinosaur research conducted by professional scientists or their graduate students.
     
  6.  To cooperate and collaborate with scientific and educational institutions and researchers, and public, private and not-for-profit sectors to further dinosaur research in Canada.
